The Meindl Glockner MFS GTX field sports boot has over the years proven a popular choice for hunting, performing excellently in wet weather and tricky terrain (with some suitability for crampons). With uppers made from luxurious Nubuck leather, and a robust rubber rand around the entirety of the boot, the Glockner MFS GTX has a classic style and is hard-wearing in demanding conditions. The addition of a GORE-TEX lining ensures the boot is 100% waterproof and breathable whilst the Digafix lacing system enables laces to be easily adjusted, giving extra support. These boots are designed to tackle mountainous terrain, unmarked routes, screes and glaciers. Due to the terrain, these boots are stiffer and provide more protection than boots of a lower grade. They are suitable for crampons and ideal for Scottish winters and higher altitude routes in the European mountains.

CARE ADVICE
Sportwax is a natural product formulated to condition and proof leather. Apply it with a sponge or cloth and don’t forget the tongues of the boots. Rub the wax in well. There’s no need to heat it, as this could reduce boot breathability. Waxing changes the appearance of the leather, making it smoother and darker. Applying a little to the hooks and eyelets also protects them against corrosion.
